Dear Valued Members,

Just over a month ago, I shared with our leaders my intention to expand the Waiora family of companies through the creation of a new company called Javita, adding a second income opportunity for those Waiora Members who wish to participate.

I also affirmed our commitment to the Waiora brand, and to the long-term success of our Members. My vision for Waiora is to create the premium brand for natural health solutions.

Our vision for the future can only be realized through partnership, and over the past several weeks, we have held strategic discussions with the Member Leadership Council on how best to chart our course for the future.

It wasn’t enough to talk over the phone or go back and forth by email. Last week, we flew the Member Leadership Council into the corporate offices so we could meet face-to-face, put everything on the table and have an open dialogue about our long-term strategic direction.

It was a great day. Through reasoned analysis and heartfelt dialogue, we affirmed Natural Cellular Defense as the primary, long-term focus of our brand. Coming out of that meeting, we all felt it was a momentus day for our long-term success.

I realize many of you already concentrate exclusively on Natural Cellular Defense – now our corporate brand will focus on this direction. You will see this renewed focus on Natural Cellular Defense reflected in the coming weeks and months as our web presence, product line and corporate positioning align.

Now that our long-term strategy is clear, we are developing plans to support its success. These deliverables include:

Fortifying existing products with Natural Cellular Defense

Narrowing our product focus to Natural Cellular Defense and key Replenishment products

Developing new video and web enhancements focused on Natural Cellular Defense

While we welcome every opportunity to meet, the Member Leadership Council has asked, and we have agreed, to postpone the National Convention to the fall so that the renewed focus on Natural Cellular Defense can be fully realized on a national stage. For those currently registered for convention, we will coordinate transfer of registration, and reimbursement of any flight change fees, at our expense.

In an industry and an economy that can see companies come and go, Waiora is seven years strong. With over $120 million dollars in Member earnings paid to date, Waiora offers real rewards. And now, with a renewed focus on Natural Cellular Defense, and the firm commitment of the entire corporate team, the Waiora brand is on target to realize its biggest success.

To your health and happiness,

So you know the saying, “Imitation is the best form of flattery?” Of course you do. Your mother probably said it to you when you were a kid and your sibling was annoying you imitating your actions. But can I be honest? It annoyed me then, and it annoys me even more now as it relates to unscrupulous companies who have tried to copy our activated zeolite product.

Am I overprotective? Maybe. But since much of our livelihoods, as well as someone’s personal safety are directly linked to the 4+ million bottles that we have sold, I take it very personally and seriously when people pretend they are selling our activated zeolite product.

You think I’m kidding, but I’m not. They copy text from our website and paste it into theirs. They use images on their website that look like our bottle (the name conveniently blurred). Would you believe they even use our own studies as evidence that their product works? Yes, they’re that bold.

But here’s the problem. Not all products are created equal, especially the zeolite products on the market today. What’s the big deal?

Particle size: Most other zeolite products can be up to 40 microns in size, which means they are simply too large to go into the blood stream to remove toxins at the cellular level all over the body. Thus, our competitor’s product basically enters into and chelates the gut. Our activated zeolite doesn’t have this problem because we micronize the zeolite so the average cage size is 1 micron or less (we go down to .349 nanometers); this means the zeolite powder is so finely ground that the cage can travel throughout the body into the bloodstream.

Cleanliness: Most zeolite manufactures don’t go through the rigorous process of eliminating the naturally occurring substances contained within the zeolite cage. Not to mention, if an uncleaned zeolite enters the body, its ability to attract toxins into the cage is greatly diminished since the cage is already filled with contaminants. Think of it like going out to collect the trash with a bag that’s already full. Only our zeolite undergoes a stringent, proprietary activation process to “clean” the zeolite so it can safely and effectively remove heavy metals and toxins from the human body.

Evidence: With more than 14 clinical studies, our activated zeolite is the only zeolite clinically proven to safely and effectively remove heavy metals from the body. No other product can make the same claim.

I’m all for healthy competition, but unscrupulous marketers give all of us a bad reputation. Consider the duo recently arrested in Japan for making unscrupulous claims about their zeolite product—claims that their product could remove radiation from the body in 6 hours. Imagine the audacity!

These claims are illegal. Their actions are unethical and quite frankly they make me sick. Japan has been through enough of a physical, economic and emotion turmoil to have its citizen taken advantage of.

Our activated zeolite was the first of its kind to market and still is unmatched. You can settle for second best, accepting a zeolite product that is unclean, ineffective and untested. Me, I’m sticking with the product that’s proven to work—one I can stake my health, safety and reputation on.

What’s will your choice be?

I have a passport, but haven’t traveled further than the Bahamas. Meanwhile my best friend has visited nearly every country, continent and corner of the world. To me Japan was this exotic country on the other side of the globe. I was intrigued by it, envious of its modern feel and technological edge and fascinated by its culture. But it’s the wake of this nuclear disaster that has me glued to the news and headlines pouring in from this booming metropolitan today.

And I have to admit, it’s awfully confusing trying to make sense of the true impact of the March 11th event. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that things are in a very fragile state in Japan—between the physical damage, the displaced residents and the long term implications of nuclear exposure and dwindling water/food supply. But how in the world are you supposed to understand what the Japan crisis means as a resident of a country continents away?

You read headlines about contaminated water somewhere between 5 to 7 million times the legal limit floating around the floor of the same nuclear plant where the initial collapse occurred. You’re bombarded with the latest news regarding a plan to dump low-level radioactive water into the pacific ocean—some 11,500 tons (that’s over 3 million gallons).

So why are they dumping the radioactive water into the Pacific? Seems they need to make space for the ever increasing amount of high-level radioactive wastes. You know the same dangerous wastes (at lethally radioactive levels) that have been leaking since the tsunami. Officials have tried to manage damage control (and understandable anxiety over this ocean dump) with claims that the radioactive isotopes will quickly dissipate and therefore cause for alarm is actually minimal. However, that seems to be only one opinion. There are other well respected officials that fear that the more harmful radioactive isotope cesium-137 has a much longer lifespan—which not only spells immediate danger for the sea life in the affected area, but may also mean concern for sea life pulled by fisherman from the same area months, perhaps years from now.

This move has forced countries like India to institute a 3-4 month ban of food articles (namely fruits and vegetables) imported from Japan. India is the first country to institute this blanket ban, but others may follow suit in the near future.

I won’t pretend to know where the crisis will go from here, but it would seem it’s bound to get worse before it gets better. And while I’m no alarmist, I strongly urge you to take measures to protect the health and well being of yourself and your family today.

This disaster has far greater implications than Chernobyl, and with nothing like it to compare to, it just makes sense to take preventative measures. I don’t care how many stories I read or how many officials suggest that the radioactive levels trickling in to our borders, shorelines and coastlines from Japan are below levels to be of concern, THERE SHOULD BE CONCERN! And it’s not just the levels (which continue to fluctuate which is why they are being monitored), it’s the accumulation and compounded exposure to the radiation that are the real concern.

The world can wait and see, experts can pontificate, but I’ll be taking my activated zeolite morning, noon and night to give me peace of mind.

Three weeks after the crisis in Japan, the fallout continues as nuclear radiation leaks into the soil, seawater, produce, raw milk and tap water (140 miles south of the plant in Tokyo).

Given the continued setbacks and magnitude of the exposure, it should come as no surprise that traces of the radioactive iodine-131 (the same radiation seen in Japan) have made their way to Chicago, Ohio, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and the Pacific Ocean.

Just how significant are the trace amounts and how might they impact your health, depends on who you ask. For now, the world watches and waits.

It would seem the best defense is a strong offense, pairing the previously discussed activated zeolite with a beta-glucan-rich agaricus blazei hybrid mushroom.

Why an agaricus blazei hybrid mushroom? Well, not all mushrooms are created equal. And this super mushroom is no ordinary fungi; scientists consider it to be an extraordinary weapon against genetic mutations, including those brought on by exposure to radiation.

Here’s a sampling of what an agaricus blazei mushroom can do to combat against cellular damage:

Enhance your body’s natural killer cells’ defense mechanism—encouraging your immune system to “target” the bad cells not the good ones

Inhibit tumor growth

Encourage cellular repair (including bone marrow)

Protect against secondary infections

Enhance survival rates for those exposed to lethal radiation (as shown in mice studies).

When compared to other species of mushroom (i.e., reishi, maitake, shiitake, etc.), the agaricus blazei hybrid was found to be 3,000 time more potent than other agaricus supplements on the market, PLUS it included ergosterol (another incredibly powerful anti-tumor agent.)

Need more convincing regarding this superfood’s superiority?

It’s the only mushroom hybrid whose research was sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.

It’s 100% certified organic and naturally preserved using sasa bamboo to ensure it maintains its stability and efficacy.

It uses a highly concentrated liquid delivery system to ensure maximum bioavailability at a very small dose.

It utilizes two patents including extraction technology and its growing environment to ensure that it cannot ever be duplicated.

It is safe for women who are pregnant, children and animals.

Don’t wait for traces of the Japan crisis to reach your shoreline before you take measures to ensure the health and survival of your family. ACT TODAY. Share this link with everyone you know.

The following letter (translated into English) comes from Isamitsu Tamura in Japan, where following the earthquake, she and her family were surviving with limited food and no electricity.

Read what she has to say about how Waiora’s nutritionals helped save them during their time of great need.

“To the Management of Waiora

We are still experiencing aftershocks and the condition of our home, of which some parts were damaged by the initial earthquake, is getting worse. But the essential utilities in the area where we live have been restored and resemblance of normal life is gradually coming back.

Thank you for sending us so many Protein Shakes. On the day of the earthquake, the city hall became the evacuation center, but we chose to remain inside our home. The four of us had Protein Shake for dinner.

We also drank leftover EDN which helped to make up for the other nutrients we needed. When we got hungry, we ate some Superior Fiber Natural. As you can see, our family was helped by Waiora products.

This experience has left me convinced that network marketing business, especially Waiora, is a great way to safeguard your life against disasters. As soon as everything goes back to normal, I would like to spread the word to as many people as I can.

Thank you so much,

Japan: How to Help

First the earthquake, then the tsunami, and then the fear and fallout of a nuclear emergency - Japan is facing its most challenging crisis since World War II with characteristic dignity and fortitude.

At Waiora, we’ve offered our heartfelt condolences to our Japanese Members for any family or friends lost in the earthquake and tsunami, and continue to work with our shipping carrier to expedite shipments of Natural Cellular Defense into all areas, with a full shipping schedule expected to resume by the end of the week.

Waiora’s Japan office is located in Tokyo – and facing rolling blackouts of power, food and gas shortages, concerns of airborne radiation, and excessive iodine in the water supply – has been operating on a limited schedule.

For those looking to offer financial aid, our Japan team recommends the Japanese Red Cross as a trusted source of assistance for those affected. Click here to visit the English language page of the Japanese Red Cross.

***************

Study: Zeolites and Radiation
One of the most immediate concerns in a nuclear emergency is the release of radioactive iodine-131, which can be easily absorbed by the thyroid gland, and can lead to thyroid cancer.

Much has been reported about potassium iodide, which should be reserved for those facing immediate exposure. For everyone else, look to consume sea vegetables including kelp, wakame or kombu for foods that are naturally rich in iodine, which may “fill” the thyroid with healthy iodine, making it less likely to absorb radioactive iodine.

The larger and long-term concerns relate to the other radioactive elements including Cesium (Cs), Strontium (Sr), Uranium (U) and Plutonium (Pu). Unlike radioactive iodine-131, which breaks down quickly, these heavy metals linger in the body, damaging DNA for decades.

What natural mineral have nuclear scientists turned to during past nuclear disasters, including Three Mile Island and Chernobyl? A natural mineral zeolite called Clinoptilolite.

Clinoptilolite (the same type of zeolite in Natural Cellular Defense and Chava Vital Chocolate) was used to clean up water surrounding Three Mile Island.

At the nuclear disaster in Chernobyl:

Over 500,000 tons of zeolite was dropped into the reactor to absorb radioactive metals

Cattle were fed zeolite to help keep radioactive ions out of milk

Zeolite “cookies” were baked for children to help reduce radioactive absorption

When soil contaminated with Cesium and Strontium was treated with zeolite, plants growing in that soil resulted in NO uptake of Cesium or Strontium

These facts and more were presented in a paper at the 1998 National Academy of Sciences titled “La Roca Magica: Uses of Natural Zeolites in Agriculture and Industry.” Click here to see the full paper, and go to the section titled Nuclear Waste and Fallout.

The Clinoptilolite zeolite referenced in the paper is raw zeolite, which means it was not “cleaned” of toxins present in its cage-like structures, reducing absorption capacity.

I was watching the Today Show yesterday (as I do every morning), and found myself glued to the floor as they turned their attention to radioactive nuclear exposure—revisiting disasters at Three Mile Island and Chernobyl. With this segment fresh in my mind, I turned my attention to my inbox, which was full of inquiries from Members regarding what they could (or should) say about NCD/zeolite and nuclear waste.

Given the magnitude of the discussion (not to mention the number of inquiries), I thought interest was best served by sharing with you what I discovered when pulling together research to answer this very question.

First did you know that clinoptilolite (the type of zeolite used in NCD) was used at Three Mile Island to clean up radioactive wastes long before Chernobyl ever happened?

As to Chernobyl, more than 500,000 tons of zeolite was dumped (via helicopter) to absorb radioactive chemicals and other harmful toxins that were released during the disaster. In addition, cattle were fed zeolite to help keep radioactive ions out of milk, and zeolite was baked into cookies/biscuits (for children) and encapsulated into pills (for adults) to help minimize the contamination in humans.

Since Chernobyl, zeolite has been integrated into use at other nuclear plants (across the U.S. and Britain) as well as municipal water treatment facilities (to reduce the ammonium ion concentration.)

With the above in mind consider this, if the impact of nuclear disaster was minimized and future exposure to harmful chemicals might be reduced by the use of raw zeolite, imagine the health assurance potential of a clean, micronized, activated zeolite.

For more information, check out “La Roca Magica: Uses of Natural Zeolites in Agriculture and Industry,” (presented at the 1998 National Academy of Sciences colloquium ‘‘Geology, Mineralogy, and Human Welfare,’’ and later printed in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.) It’s full of great information regarding the extensive application for zeolite, but the real eye opener is found in the section appropriately called Nuclear Waste & Fallout.

This series shares my Top 10 choices to set you on the path to success. From here, it’s just a matter of doing the work. And by work, I mean, really go to work on yourself. You are worth this effort.

Dear Valued Leaders,

So this is it: the last lesson in our keys to success series. By now, I hope you know that success is neither magical nor mysterious; but instead, it is a series of correct choices executed with commitment and consistency.

This series shares my Top 10 choices to set you on the path to success. From here, it’s just a matter of doing the work. And by work, I mean, really go to work on yourself. You are worth this effort.

1. Lead by Example

In life, and in business, you will get much further if you can inspire others to join your cause. Motivated by a fire within, volunteers willingly work toward a shared purpose, and give of themselves not just for personal gain, but for the greater good.

This is who you want to work with! And any volunteer army is only inspired by what they see. Your success depends on others’ mirroring your efforts. So now is the time to look in the mirror and check out the reflection that others see. If you don’t like it – change it – starting today.

2. Have an Urgent State of Mind

Urgency is not a panic, or flurry of aimless activity. It is purposeful desire: to achieve what you want out of life; with focusing your every waking moment on action steps that get you closer to what you want.

You have to see your goal, you have to feel your goal, and you have to take sustained action to create momentum.

It may be a couple of days, weeks, or months; heck it could even be a couple of years. But aren’t your dreams worth it? Isn’t living life on your own terms and building a legacy for your family worth it? The difference between good versus great is the difference between what you can achieve when you choose to live urgently and what you’ll settle for when you don’t.

3. Always Know the Next Step

Success is a plan well executed. And a plan is simply a series of steps in the right direction. Consistency in your steps will make activity become second-nature to you and easily embraced by the novice who learns by watching you.

The next step is always the most important.

4. Be a Great Storyteller

A good story is always evolving to meet the emotional needs of the listener. Your story should be focused and simple. And really, when you speak from your heart, you’ll find that it really isn’t all that complicated.

To make an emotional connection with your prospect, all you need to do is ask a few simple questions. Then just listen. And I mean really listen; pay attention, instead of waiting to talk. That alone opens the door to trust; the foundation of a strong relationship.

5. Follow your Roadmap

Your roadmap is a step-by-step plan of activity in order to reach your goals. Your map will be much clearer to you as soon as you put it on paper. Physically write down and carve out time for each activity. And then, follow your map.

There is no simple answer to motivation, to keeping you focused on your map. Motivation is self-directed; stemming from deep within you. Making a habit of your key activities will help sustain and keep you motivated. It’s like Zig Ziglar says, “Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going. People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.”

6. Keep Perspective

If you want a piece, any piece, large or small, of this $100 billion dollar market, you have to invest in yourself and your dreams. There is no real business that does not have “some” cost associated with it. The important thing is to make sure the return on your investment is rewarding.

Don’t lose sight of the bigger picture. Balance the low cost of sharing Chava with the high reward that comes from achieving your dreams.

7. Talk about Money

Building a big business means developing your skills, particularly in explaining how the plan works. It’s not about the ins-and-outs of the compensation plan (unless they ask). It’s about REAL world and REAL life.

If you want people to see the opportunity before them with Waiora, then you have to use examples they can relate to. They need to be able see themselves in the picture.

8. Get New Members Started Right

This is not the time to be commitment-shy. The moment after they say “yes” is the moment to act! What’s important is to listen to your Member and keep the relationship moving, following the Evaluation Pack system.

If someone can’t do Premier and can do PaceSetter, get them started as PaceSetter. If someone just wants the product for personal use, get them started as a Basic. The only way to lose is not to start.

The key here is not the precision of your actions, rather the pace and urgency. It’s not about getting everything right; it is about creating the right momentum.

9. Stay Connected

Failure to engage with your team on a consistent basis can result in a stop-and-start cycle that can leave you standing still. The good news is that reaching out little and often is most effective.

In reality, there is no getting lucky. It is the right activity that generates results. And staying connected to that activity – offering your support, answering questions, encouraging and recognizing your team’s efforts – will generate the best results.

10. Success is a Journey

I was asked how I define success. Success is a journey, not a destination. It’s about getting stronger while maintaining humility and appreciation. Success is not a static state, nor does it cater to complaint, blame, complacency or ego.

You don’t achieve success; you perpetuate it through personal and professional growth. Keep going, never settle for mediocrity. It’s a challenge; but if you embrace it, success will follow.

There are no guarantees, but I can promise you this. Whatever you do or whatever you don’t, you will become one thing or another – either by direction or default. Don’t settle for something less than you are capable of. You can do this.

To your success,

Dear Valued Leaders,

It’s my belief that staying connected is one of the most important activities to keep your “flywheel,” the momentum in your business, moving forward and working for you.

Failure to engage with your team on a consistent basis can result in a stop-and-start cycle that can leave you standing still. The good news is that connecting the right way is neither complicated nor mysterious.

It is simply reaching out in the spirit of friendship and partnership.

And it won’t take hours of your already limited time. In fact, little and often is far more effective. It’s like the late, great Jim Rohn said; it’s easier to eat an apple a day than seven on Sunday. I’d venture it’s less daunting too.

The key is to make connecting part of your daily activity, so it becomes routine.

First, let’s talk about your team. As a mentor, you’ll want to check in with them often, based on what their goals and aspirations are. If they’re aiming high, set ground rules for accountability and then check in regularly.

Business growth does not stem from waiting. It comes from urgency.

Are you waiting until the last day of the month to put your first call in to your team members? Don’t.

Your team members’ consistent activity and your consistent connecting will generate far better results. Are they sharing Chava? Holding a planned Tasting? Doing follow up calls?

In business, as in real life, there is no getting lucky. It is the right activity that generates results. And staying connected to that activity – offering your support, answering questions, encouraging and recognizing their efforts – will generate the best results.

Make new friends (and influence people).

There’s nothing worse than feeling like an outsider. It’s human nature to want to fit in. And from the moment they join, your new Member is like the outsider at a party where everyone else knows each other. The people and the environment are unfamiliar. And if they feel unwelcomed long enough, they’re going to leave. Wouldn’t you?

So right out of the gate, make an effort to make friends with your new Members. Get them engaged and keep them engaged. Give them a call, invite them to your events, and include them in conference calls.

That’s what your new Members want – to fit in, to feel like they belong to the community. Stay connected, show them they do belong, and you’ll influence their success now and in the future.

Don’t underestimate the importance of connecting with new Members.

When I first entered network marketing as a distributor, I was eager but inexperienced. My connection to my sponsor was what kept me going. He’d give me a call every day at first, just a couple of minutes, but crucial to keeping me accountable. Asking me – how my calls went, did I have an event coming up, where do we stand.

Even more than keeping me accountable, those calls did something else that was essential to keeping me in. I was just starting out, and didn’t always believe in my own ability to succeed. But those calls from my sponsor told me he believed in me.

Having someone believe in you is powerful.

Whether by phone, in person or on facebook – every time you connect with your new Member and support their efforts, you show you believe in their ability to be successful. And belief is a powerful force.

Put belief to work in your business as you get and stay connected.

To your success,

P.S. Stay tuned next week for the final lesson in the Premier Training Series through Freedom U.
